At WoWConfidentialYou, we offer evidence-based parenting coaching services tailored to your unique needs. Our goal is to empower parents with practical tools and strategies to navigate the joys and challenges of raising children.

About Us — WoWConfidentialYou

Year 5–6 parents and children. One crew, one mission: grow confidence, calm and mastery before SATs, admissions, and the leap to secondary school.

We’re a small team of educators, coaches and wellbeing practitioners who believe learning is both science and story. In the language of Brian Cox, a child’s brain is a tiny cosmos—electrical weather forming new constellations each day. In the spirit of J.K. Rowling, school is a living castle of corridors, friends, quests and occasional dragons (timed papers, anyone?). And with a wink to hold that ordinary streets can be enchanted when a family finds its rhythm: breakfast, movement, courage, kindness—repeated until it becomes magic.

What we do

We run evidence-based coaching for Year 5–6 children and their parents, blending:

  • Non-contact Boxing, Exercise & Muay Thai for balance, breath and focus,

  • Practical psychology for helpful thinking and steady routines,

  • Peer groups—one for adults, one for children—so no one trains alone.

Think of us as your secure base and training camp rolled into one: a place to practise tiny, do-able wins that stack into self-belief.

Our method (the psychological pillars)

  • BowlbySecure base: children risk effort when they feel safe. We build trust first, skills second.

  • RogersUnconditional positive regard: you don’t earn your place here—you arrive with it.

  • BanduraSelf-efficacy: mastery minutes, modelling and coaching turn “I can’t” into “I did.”

  • MaslowFoundations first: sleep, food, movement and connection before mastery.

  • Piaget & VygotskyStage + scaffold: just-right difficulty inside the child’s Zone of Proximal Development.

  • EriksonIndustry vs. inferiority: engineer honest wins so work feels worth it.

  • Beck & PadeskyStrengths-based CBT Principles: spot what helps, scale it; swap unhelpful thoughts for helpful ones.

  • Hayes (ACT)Values-led action : hold the worry, follow the value, take the next small step.

How a session feels

  1. Warm welcome, quick check-in (what the week’s “weather” was—sun, cloud, drizzle).

  2. Movement first: non-contact pad work, footwork, breath—body leads brain.

  3. Micro-lesson: 5 minutes on thoughts–feelings–actions or test-day skills.

  4. Mastery Minutes: two short, timed practices (reading, maths, recall), split by movement.

  5. Capsule summary: child names the win; parent names the support that helped.

  6. Take-home plan: one tiny action for the week, confidence-rated and scheduled.

Everything is age-appropriate, scaffolded and safe—no head contact, clear safeguarding, loads of praise for effort.

What changes

  • Confidence in the body → shoulders relax, breathing steadies, attention returns.

  • Helpful thinking → “I’ll never finish” becomes “I can do five minutes right now.”

  • Family rhythm → sleep window set, breakfast sorted, after-school “walk-talk”, two Mastery Minutes most days.

  • Peer energy → children see children trying; parents see parents supporting. Momentum multiplies.

Programmes (Term-time)

  • Year 5 Confidence & Curiosity
Foundations: routines, calm kit, joyful practice, first timed sections.

  • Year 6 Courage & Transition
Stretch: mock-moment skills, values-led goals, early relapse-prevention for wobbly weeks.

  • Parent Crew
Short, practical meet-ups: designing habits, taming worry talk, modelling “start before you’re ready.”

Safeguarding & quality

  • Fully insured, enhanced DBS, child-centred coaching, non-contact combat sports only.

  • Clear photography/consent policy; data handled responsibly.

  • We track progress with simple measures and celebrate effort over marks.

Our promise

We won’t promise perfect scores. We promise a braver process: a child who knows how to begin, how to breathe, how to try again; a parent who knows how to scaffold, not rescue. Together you’ll build constellations of small wins bright enough to guide the jump to secondary school.

Learn strong. Feel safe. Think bold
